Can anyone out there tell me the difference between a tackman a wadsetter and a tenant, please help

A quick look at:  http://scotsfamily.com/occupations.htm gives the following
Wadsetter Creditor or holder of land or property under mortgage
Tacksman Superior farm tenant with a lease or tack on one or more farms
I assume a tenent simply pays rent for the property.
Feuar Landholder under feudal system paid a feu (fee) to the overlord
is another similar term.
I'm sure somene with a greater knowledge of the differences will be along directly.
