Hi Frances,

The cache can do some really strange things to computers. I had problems a month or more ago with blurred pictures and it ended up being connected to the caches. I had been emptying the one on the computer, but didn't realize the the internet explorer also had its own cache. Got the directions from MSN and that fixed the problem. After I finish with my email tonight, I'll run through the whole list again and see what happens!

I love my computer, I love my computer, I love my computer.......

Hi Carol,

The suggestions that I had in mind have already been made in the responses above. My feeling is that the problem will be to do with cookies. See how you get on after clearing your cookies.

All the best,

AndrewP

heymarky!

Were you handing out "cookies" for Halloween?

I emptied caches etc. last night and everything seems to be working this morning. Hopefully, it will last!

I thought I had this problem solved, then it cropped up again. This time I checked the automatic log in box and since then everything has worked.

Don't ask me to explain!

Hi Carol:

Seems that some things can't be explained with computers - no matter what I try, since I last upgraded my software, I can't use automatic login for anything! But then, If I can't, no one else can, so in around about way that's a good thing :)

Hi Frances,

No question computers can do some strange things. Last month the computer at our long distance phone service decided that our account belonged to our local phone service provider so we received a bill which said that our calling card and our long distance service had been "removed". Never mind that we were still able to make long distance calls. :o

I tried to call and got a fully automated customer service computer which kept sending me back to my local service provider. There was no way to get to talk to a living human being unless we wanted to buy new options! So we called our local provider which now has a long distance option and signed up, then cancelled our previous long distance account. The kicker--our former long distance provider now owns our local provider, but it hasn't told the old computer yet! I figure we're safe until the old company computer finds out it's about to be decommissioned! Who knows what'll happen then! :D
