My operating system is Vista 64-bit. LDS say that they have no viewer program suitable for XP, Vista or Windows 7 64-bit versions. They have no plan to make a 64-bit version. The only workaround is to install the Virtual PC program and install a 32-bit version of Windows. That sounds like a lot of work to me.

Surely at some stage the LDS will take their heads out of the sand and write a 64-bit version, as 64-bit operating systems are becoming much more commonly used to allow use of more than 3Gbytes of RAM.

All the best,

Andrew

Perhaps unfortunately, the LDS have decided to concentrate their resources on their new Internet sites and have abandoned the disk approach almost completely.

Installing a Virtual PC is relatively easy (as easy as installing any other program) and provided you can get hold of a full version of Windows which will allow the LDS Disks to run the whole thing can be done relatively quickly. Personally I have found this a better option than the "Cut Down" version of XP available to Windows 7 Premium users as it not only gives me variety (I have 3 Virtual PC's set up Windows 98 Windows XP and Linux) but gives greater flexibility with regard to installing programs and utilities.
