AOL help please

Post by helenbee » Mon Oct 01, 2007 6:40 pm

Can someone else who uses AOL tell me why I can no longer see links in the emails I receive when I'm watching a topic - they appear just as text but not as a link I can click on to go straight to the topic on the forum, so I have to cut and paste all the time. How do I correct this please?

There must be a way of doing it, because when I was using my daughter's computer the other day the addresses showed as links which could be clicked on. I'll let you know when I find the answer!

Is your email program setup to open emails in HTML format by default?

I'm not with AOL for my main email addy, but once in a while after Windows has run an automatic update, some settings in various programs seem to have reverted back to what they were before I setup my preferences.

Don't know - should it be? I don't know how to change it.

Were you browsing through Internet Explorer on your daughter's computer?
You would be able to link directly if you were.

You can access your aol mail by going through explorer on your own computer but personally I don't think it's worth it.

You're right, Annette, I was, as she doesn't have AOL. Maybe that's the problem, and it could be why I thought I used to have the facility but now I don't.
