Posts not announced??

Post by Thrall » Wed Oct 03, 2007 2:56 am

I have have become increasingly aware that additions to threads to which I have contributed are not advertised by email despite my profile requesting such treatment. Has anyone else been aware of this?

Guid hunting,

Hi Thrall,

Some of the members on TalkingScot seem to be experiencing the same technical difficulty, including myself. We're not exactly sure what the problem is at the moment. But a few weeks ago we were having some difficulty with certain e-mail accounts bouncing. Ex. Yahoo

Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention.

Regards
Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, good to know I´m not the only forumite suffering!

Incidentally, I did not receive notice of this reassuring response, and do not use Yahoo, Gmail etc.

Hope it sorts itself out, as I suspect not receiving these notices detracts considerably from the usefulness and convenience for those of us following TS.

Guid hunting, and many thanks for your efforts,

Thrall

Hi Thrall and All,

I contacted the Helpdesk of TalkingScot's hosting company again about this matter. They acknowledge the problem, but are having difficulty dealing with it as it is inconsistent. Sometimes these e-mails are going through, other times not.

All the best,

AndrewP
