Hello Folks.

My computer gave up two weeks ago, I bought a new one and it has Windows vista, Its going to take a wee while to get used to it, but my problem is, I cant seem to get my e-mail to work, it keeps saying I need to check the server, can anyone help, I can't remember what my old default was, pop3 rings a bell but do you have to put something behind it? I am hopeless at this, I am hoping that I can keep my old address.

Hi Ann
Your ISP should be able to provide you with the details you need to set up your email settings again. Some ISPs provide this info on their web sites, or you may need to phone them if this is not the case.

Hi Ann,

Yes, you will need the pop and smtp addresses to send and receive e-mail. Your provider probably has these seetings listed on their website help pages.

Why don't you just do what I do and call your internet provider...they will walk you through your problems and set it up properly for you.

I will be writing down every detail from now on, and making sure I remember where it is
