WAB File ?

Whats a WAB file ? and what creates it .I meant to ask last week when it appeared on my pc

This appreared after a virus scan (i think

) its the sort of icon you cant open but gives details of when it was created - not much help i know but in short it wasnt there a week ago and havnt installed, downloaded anything so i just need to know if its safe to delete as im having a spring clean of pc

WAB files are created by Windows Outlook.

I dont use Windows Outlook ever, so do they create themselves ?

Outlook or Outlook Express pay absolutely no part in my email ect - aol has its own ??? so i dont know how as you say, Outlook created it

If you use neither program it should be safe to delete it .... although you may want to wish to play safe and hold it in the "Bin" until 100% certain.

Googling on WAB suffix also throws up some information aout various worms attacking the email systems and creating or falsifying WAB files
