Maybe missing a point ! Why cant Legacy make a gedcom file and attach it to an e mail. On receipt can then be downloaded into FTW .

Wendy and Col

Legacy does export and import Gedcom Files.

Wendy

Click on Help-Search for help on- and then enter the name Gedcom. You'll find information on creating, importing and exporting Gedcom files.

Kind regards

Sorry was not clear my reference to " Legacy " was to the person sending it not the program ! All genealogy programs have this facility . Indeed the " Who am I ? " BBC2 series was based on the gedcom philosophy using the British " Family Historian " program which is totally gedcom orientated . Godd - but a trifle complex to navigate .

Thanks Catriona and Col for all the info ....I will send Jenny info on a Gedcom file , I knew it could be sent but didn't know what to tell her as I have never used Legacy before and just simply didn't know what import/ export functions it may or may not have.

Once again many Thanks
