REALLY WEIRD

Post by wini » Sun Jan 21, 2007 12:05 pm

Tonight I received an email advising that tthere was a posting on the topic
"ah'm really sorry ah'l no dae it again."
When I clicked on it and got on to TS it says there
is no such topic It was certainly an old topic which had died a death, but where did the email come from? :? :? :? :?

Wini

It was a malicious poster putting on a link to the kind of site people can access if they are so inclined but we don't encourage on TS! Andrew P and I disposed of them as fast as we could.

Hi

The admin group works very hard fending off people whose only aim is to wreck a site or post damaging or undesirable links. Most of the time the workings don't show. We mods do what we can but most of the work falls on admin, who are always on the alert.

I also got two emails but was unable to access TS by using the link. Well done admin for sorting it out speedily. =D>

I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year and my apologies for being well overdue but I was taken into hospital on Xmas Eve and remained there until after New Year. Hope you all had a lovely time.

Cheers

Hi Wini,

I got the same email telling me there was a new post. I've also been getting notices that I have new PM's which don't exist.

Just curious, is there not usually a report link that occurs on forums where you can click it and the post will be reported to a member of the Mod team or admin team.

Had noticed that as well, but on here the Mods and Admin do actually spend a lot of time on the forum and are very quick to see anything untoward, so I actually don't miss it!
