I've got 636 folk in the tree and am wondering what program will permit me to printout everybody in the tree in one go, as opposed to a branch here and there.

Dennis,
I use Family Tree Maker 2005, I have 200 presently in my tree, and "all-in-one" view allows me to view on one page, but on A4 paper, its 16 pages to print. I have a friend who is a Surveyer, he has the large print paper, and is able to print my file as one page.
Make enquiries at instant print shops, they may be able to print your file.

Dennis,
Further to my previous post,
I saved my file into pdf format, and was able to print it all on one A4 page, although it was hardly worth it, it was so small.

Not advertising but I found a web site, www.acorns2oaks.info
The guy seems very helpful and can print very large files on continuous feed paper and from most formats.
Cheers

Dennis,
I don't know how well the other genealogy programs work when trying to print charts however I use Legacy 5.0 Deluxe along with both Legacy Tree Draw and Legacy Charting Companion as mentioned in the url link in StuartDalgleish's post.
I haven't printed an all inclusive chart since I have over 3500 names in my database and it creates way too many pages and or too long of a wall chart. However you can add indvidual branches and place them where ever you want on the page to create a cascading style of chart. I really like the features in Tree Draw that allows me to place pictures, objects, text etc. into the chart. Another feature is that it is linked with my Legacy program so if I make any changes to the database, those changes are reflected in the chart and I don't have to create a gedcom to import into Tree Draw.
Legacy also has a new feature on their website that allows you to upload your file in many different formats (pdf, family tree maker, photoshop, etc.) and they will print the chart for you. Though I have not tried this feature, it looks promising. You can find them at www.legacyfamilytree.com
Also, this second part is for StuartDalgleish, my 3x great-grandmother was Jane Dalgleish, daughter of William Dalgleish and Margaret Anderson. She married David Cooper in 1842. They were from Edinburgh. Ring any bells?
Happy Hunting.....
