I just received a 'test' email from TalkingScot, any reason why?

Hi
I received one as well.
The address it was from was "talkings @ talkingscot.com" I have deliberately left a gap and put the inverted commas in so that it doesn't show as a link.
The "s" on the end of the first "talking" made me suspicious that it might be the result of someone getting hold of email addresses and trying to spam members.
Although checking back, just now, I see that my first communication back in Aug '06 did have that format.
