Hi
I am just trying out my new toy!
My son has purchased a laptop for me, to try and be more comfortable
instead of sitting at my desk and ending up in pain, I can now sit on the settee and have my back supported.
I have ben having some poblems accessing some of the sites I use like for example Genes Reunited. Probaly because it does not recognise this computer, but I have accessed this site ok.
Any ideas whyI am having problems
Hi having a try out

Hi Maud
It could be to do with your old PC having cookies stored which logged you into sites automatically or it could be to do with browser plugins you may have had installed on the old PC, but not yet installed on the new one, perhaps. Can you be more specific with the nature of the problem?
Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Maud
Lucky you with your new toy (its not a toy when it comes to doing your research
)
When you're sitting on the settee for a prolongued session on the Net try a firm cushion under each forearm for support. The arm of a settee is too high to give the arm comfort you need for a laptop. You would end up hurting your shoulder.
Have fun with a smile

Having a try out
Thank you Lesley
I think the problem was caused by me not typing in correctly the number, the keyboard being a bit strange to me, my fingers did not tell me I had struck the wrong key!
On a keyboard I am used to, my fingers go automatically to the correct keys, will have to give them a smack! for letting me down
