Hello to Everyone at TalkingScot,
I found you quite by chance. I had just received some info on my grandfather in Scotland and his parents and decided to do a links search for more info. TalkingScot came up as a link and I decided to join as I thought someone may be able to help me.
Not alot is known about my grandfather and his family as he never spoke much of them when he came to Australia.
So I hope members do not mind having 'their ears chewed a little' with questions I may ask in the future.
Looking forward to some interesting research and reading.
Thankyou for taking me onboard.
Margaret.

Hi Margaret

Welcome aboard! :D
We enjoy having our ears chewed. It is a process that usually stimulates some thought about our own family links and shared 'ear chewing' is often the way that major brick walls have been demolished.
We have quite a few Australian contributors who started out tentatively and now know more about Scotland's past than some of the folks who actually live here.
The humour here also has a distinctly international flavour too :?

Hi Pauline

C'mon. Don't keep us waiting. give us some 'bits', 'names, dates to work on.
Nobody's beyond help on here :!:
Some of the most convoluted family relationships have been dissected, explored and solved much to everyone's satisfaction.
The frustration is just to build up the tension until the problem is solved :D
No questions is daft and we have all posed what we thought were 'daft' questions.
Remember there is a search facility on here at the top of the screen which will track down some of the family names and other posts plus the answers which have been given in the past.

I found the link on Scotlands People. It was also mentioned to me last week by a third cousin who found me through Ancestry.com :D
