A big, big thank you to all who were involved on Saturday - particularly to Liz for organising everything - I'm sure you felt it had had taken over your life, but from our point of view it was well worthwhile for the information and detail provided - the photocopying alone must have taken a long, long time!
The presentations were very interesting and informative - the lengths some people will go to to research their ancestors! - and obviously lots of hard work behind the scenes. But, as Christine said, we don't have 'problems' only challenges and opportunities!!
Also, it was good to put a face to the name!
Looking forward to the next event!!
Anne

What happened to the photo's...it says "file doesn't exist"
I can only imagine the amount of work and planning that Liz and the other organizers/presenters had to put in and I'm sure everyone would have had a great day...can't wait to get the notes/presentation - just wish I could have been there.
Regards,
Anne H

As you look at the panorama, the two "girls" sitting down the side on the left are Sheena (first time we'd met in about 35 years!) and next to her my sister, Morag.
If you spot Andy (pandabean) at the front, over his right shoulder is Linda, in cream - who did a presentation, and over his left shoulder, in black, is Christine who did the other presentations.
Thanks for all the encouragement we had preparing for the day - although I kind of put it together, the big work was done by Christine, Linda, David, Marie.
Cheers!
Liz

Just got back to Aberdeen. The megabus is not the best way to travel.
Anyways Saturday was brilliant and a big thank you to Liz and to all involved. It was good to put names to faces. The lectures were really helpful and has given me the chance to get started on tracing my Irish lot.
I apologise for not taken much photos but I didnt want to start snapping during the lectures and also David already got his camera out at the end. I did get a very blurry picture of David raiding the bin at the end and a good one of Morag and Sheena (think I got the names right). I will upload them tomorrow evening.
Would it be possible to get a copy of the original photo David?
Also a personal big thank you to Jack for passing on information about my McDonald line. You have been a big help with that line and I appreciate it.
Can't wait til the next event. A TS Ceilidh?
