Can anyone help me please?

I'm trying to gather some info on the parents of my grandparents

PATRICK McKEON , Born Sept 18th 1872 Drumlish Co. Longford Ireland..... Parents Matthew McKeon & Mary McLiney?

He married Margaret [ Maggie] Bannon] June 6th 1914 @ St John's Church , Fauldhouse Scotland.

Margaret' parents were Patrick Bannon & Eliza Kelly.
I can't find any records for either sets of parents, or the birth of Maggie, any suggestions ?

Thank you

Brenda

Hello Brenda,

The results from a Parents search on the IGI might provide a bit of a clue but perhaps you’ve already seen these. These are extracted records and there is some variation to parent’s names.

Results for: British Isles
Father: Patrick Bannon, Mother: Eliza Kelly
Exact Spelling: Off
1. JAMES BANNON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 27 JUN 1868 0264, Rinn, Leitrim, Ireland
2. MARIA <BANNON> - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 31 MAY 1872 , , Ireland
3. Eliza Bannon - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 12 JAN 1877 , Leitrim, Ireland

Results for: British Isles
Father: Matthew Mckeon, Mother: Mary Mcliney
Exact Spelling: Off
1. Patrick McKeon - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 18 SEP 1872 , Longford, Ireland
2. MATTHEW MCKEON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 21 OCT 1865 0235, Drumlish, Longford, Ireland
3. JOHN MC KEON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 15 FEB 1868 , Longford, Ireland

If the parents can’t be found in Scotland maybe some follow up in Scotland of the possible siblings will provide some further clues. If the parents or siblings remained in Ireland chances are they’ll all be findable later on the 1901 and 1911 Irish Census which is being progressively put online free to view. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

Hope this helps,
Alan
