Imagine your Dads full name is the same as your husbands,now is that a family researchers worse nightmare especially when the name was John Smith Omg

I think you would have to look at it as a CHALLENGE, not a NIGHTMARE.
I don't envy anyone trying to unfathom that one.

yes you are right I accept the challenge and Im still trying to find the marriage cert of John Kennedy and Isabella Smith she died in Airdrie in 1902,b N Ireland 1826, her parents were Susan Tedford and John Smith. Any help on this much appreciated

In Newfoundland ( an almost completely RC province in Canada ,Girls have the middle name Ann , Mary or Marie. Although there is some more variation on this now . When I went to school this was the standard. Boys of course were Joseph and John. I knew a whole family of Joseph and Mary Brown with their 11 children . 6 girls with First Name Mary and 5 boys with First name Joseph just so they could go by their middle names for something different ( or to give some poor Newfoundland genealogist headaches at it all being back to foremost) :D

haha and I thought my lot were bad,I didnt want to mention incase they came and locked me up but my dad was John Smith also who was the grandson of the John Smith son of Isabella whose father and husband were both called John Smith,Im wondering if perhaps she married a cousin he died anyway and she went on to marry again to John Kennedy and its their marriage cert Im looking for,Thanks for reading my blethers :)
