Has anyone used Irish Family History Foundation? I swithered using the site for some time, but having a hit the proverbial brick wall with my Irish rellies, I took the plunge and paid €40 (almost£35, including a Debit card charge). Bearing in mind the lack of records, I knew the information could be a bit sketchy, but was still a wee bitty disappointed at the search results.
Daft as it may seem, all the information I have gathered so far on my Irish side came from Scotlandspeople.

Hi Maddymoss,
You are not alone in finding little about our Irish Rellies from Ireland.
The only records that I have found so far re Ireland, are the marriage cert of one of my GGGrandparents from LDS Family History, and three of their children baptized in Churchtown, Derry, from the free Bann Valley Site.
It is all very frustrating.
Regards

Hi Maddymoss
I've just recently been looking at Irish records and it is so very much a different proposition to looking for Scottish ancestors. I'd agree with sheilajim - "frustrating" is the word... and prices are so much higher for what seems far less info than we are used to with SP for example. Guess we don't realise how spoilt we are in Scotland until you try searching elsewhere!
I've not used the site you mention though. I hope someone else has, and can give you some feedback.
Best wishes
Lesley
