Evening from a very cold NZ.
Trying to break down a brick wall concerning the parents and back ground of Michael MCMULLEN and his wife Ellen MCEVOY and their four lovely daughters that we know of so far.
Michael was born about 1792 Rathfriland County Down Ireland, he and his family left Ireland in December 1847 for New Zealand, as a Fencible Soldier.
Michael and Ellen MCMULLEN's daughters are:
Mary born c1824 married Henry MITCHELL July 1848 New Zealand
Margaret born c1826 Leitrum Drumgooland County Down married Goerge STRONG July 1848 New Zealand.
Rosina born c1832 married Angelo PARAGEE July 1849 - married George SMITH 1858 New Zealand.
Ellen born ? married John COOK 1856 New Zealand.
Would like to find information about places of birth, Michael and Ellen's parents and siblings.
Many thanks for any help..............Pam ........New Zealand

Unfortunately I am still at a complete dead end with the Irish side of the family. Once they got to New Zealand I have all the family except the youngest daughter, she is still lost to me.
Can't seem to find a clue in Ireland to get me going. Over the last few months have been knocking down some brick walls on the English side of this family, it has been wonderful.
Thank you very much for asking how I was going.

Hi Jan
Thanks for the call but the name Catherine does not ring any bells. The name was also not used within the family in later years. From that I will take it she will not be a relative, as they seem to repeat names of the family members for several generations.
Good luck, hope you local the info you are looking for.
