Still Looking for ANGLANDS Co.ork, Ireland

Post by dimac » Mon May 04, 2009 5:59 am

Hello for all whom read this post.

Are you in anyway connected to any Angland families from Meeshame Co. Cork or County Kerry?

I would love to hear from you.
Amongst the Angland family the christian names of Daniel, Patrick, Michael, Jeremiah,
Julia, Honorah, Ellen etc. are used time & time again throughout the generations.

My reason for asking is because I have formed an Angland forum in the hope we can ALL learn as much as possible about our ancestors & their descendents.

Our anglands went to Canada, USA, England, have only found a couple in Scotland, several in Australia & New Zealand. I know mostly about NZ Anglands as I have several sources at my finger tips but need to learn more in other countries through your help please. Also have found a couple in France & Spain.

Any info whatsoever..greatly received.
Thank you,
Di NZ

Hi Di,

Do you have access to Ancestry.com? The 1930 US Census is showing half a dozen Anglands born in Sweden along with a bunch from Ireland and then many more born in the USA.

Carol :D
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

Hello Carol, no I don't have access to Ancestry.com..belong to quite a few paying sites..gave Ancestry a miss. Interesting to learn there are also
Anglands in Sweden...have quite a few names now from the USA...hoping someone who is connected will also see my posting.

Thank you very much for your helpful and prompt reply Carol.

regards,
Di
