thomas McKnight .....

Post by Dona » Wed Aug 17, 2005 3:49 am

I had the opportunity although very brief to read the obituary
of Thomas McKnight
It was a clipping from an old fragile newspaper I suspect
from Raithfriland or Banbridge. (No dates).
I am wondering if anybody
might be connected to or would know more about this family headed by Thomas
McKnight
Below is the quick notes I was able to write down.

Thomas McKnight
-served in Boer War
-served in WW1
Received 4 medals
Long period of ill health as a result of War service
Married Sarah - maiden surname unknown

Sons. Robert, John, William, Thomas, Herbert
Had 3 daughters
Daughter #1 Wife of T. Strain
Daughter #2 Wife of Kitchener Hanna
Daughter # 3 A. McKnight
Had a Grandson Victor Strain
Had a brother in law W. Kelly

Thanks

hi Dona

That's an interesting obit, it's a shame you've not had any replies, but who knows? maybe someone will find it one day.
