Mathew Brown was a road labourer b. c. 1796 presumed County Down,
Ireland. He was married to Agne McRobbie. His parents were William Brown and Agnes Crawford. Agnes the mother , died in 1865 at Gatehouse in her 100th year. I am descended from their son Alexander, coal miner.married to Ann Mcdonald 1847 at Kilmaurs, Ayrshire. Mathew and Agnes had two other sons Anthony and Robert. Robert married Maria McNeill. Any connections?
