If your Northern Irish (including Donegal) ancestores lived to collect pensions from 1908 there is now a site to search:
http://www.pensear.org
I already had a good few of the Rathlins ones but the records are notoriously difficult to read, these nice people have transcribed over 20,000 applications and can provide a fuller extract a £1 a time and I've found a few more.

Thanks for that Andy. We need all the Irish sites we can get as I still am no further forward with my Irish rellies
. If only I could get a place name instead of just 'Ireland' it would be extremely helpful. Will go now and check it out.
Cheers

Would someone born in Northern Ireland but living in Scotland when applying for a pension appear in this list?
I have a female ancestor, born between 1843 and 1851 (ages census and marriage records vary wildly), probably in Derry, and who came to Scotland in the early 1880s. She married for the third time in 1884, and died in 1927.

I'm not sure David, the only couple I've found had stayed in Ireland. I can find no trace of ones that should be eligible, but permantly stayed in Scotland. Though I came across one on the web, who claimed from America. To be truthful, it's difficult on some of the entries to be 100per cent sure it is your family. Sorry I can't help with certainties.
