H.RH. forbidden ? .....

I heard an interesting snippet at the weekend...

A girl was born in Belfast ~20 years ago and she was named [ for the sake of this disscussion] Henrietta Rose Haughey - initials HRH.

Her parents recieved a letter sometime after registration informing them that they had given their daughter a names whose initials were the same as Her Royal Highness and requested that she should be called by her middle name and not her first name. :-s

Has anyone ever heard of this ? :-k

If no cause to disbelieve the story, as it was her older brother who related it, but it does seem some what strange.

Did her elder brother have anything to do with the little people by any chance?

Wilma - I remember a few years ago a couple (English I thnk) wanted to call their daughter Princess - the registra wouldn't accept this, and advised they would need to get permission from the Queen - this they did and were given permission
