hi iam looking for information on a may sloan she married an andrew mcnulty i think she may have been born around 1855 daughterbridget married born 1875 i am not sure if her parents came from ireland but bridget was married in scotland 1897 i think its mossend.

Have you had a look at any of the Scottish censuses available on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk to see what is shown as regards Bridget's and May's birthplaces?

i had a look it was great its a pity they dont mention his wife may or how many children they had i only know they had bridget .but it was great once i save up i will buy the book .most of my ancestors were coal miners.
i wonder if it would be possible to find any information on john thornton all i know is my gran ann thornton was born in mayo and went to scotland when she was ten she went into service . in fife i am trying to find information as there seems to a difference in names . it had john thornton married honor flynn i would say at a guess around 1888 they both came from mayo .my problem is on grans death certificate it has norah mchale. so it makes it quite hard to track them down but if john died in scotland it may have his wife on there.
