Samuel Cooper and his wife Elizabeth (Eliza) Thomson, both born in Ireland in about 1815, migrated to Glasgow around 1838. Their first two children were born in Ireland: Ann was born in 1841 while Samuel was born on 2 February 1837 in Arboe, Tyrone.
Unfortunately I have no record of the births of Samuel (the father), Elizabeth or Ann, nor have I any record of the marriage of Samuel and Elizabeth.
I shall be very grateful for any help in tracing this line of the family.
Sam

Hi Sam
The birth of any of their children, in Scotland after 1855, should give their date and place of marriage. If they died in Scotland then you should be able to get their parents names from their death certificates. You may then be able to trace Sam,Elizabeth and siblings on LDS site. Irish records are not nearly as good as Scottish as you will find and it is hard to get anything on Irish births, marriages etc.

Re: Samuel Cooper
Pray that any such births are not in the period 1856 to 1860 when the marriage details were not given on the birth certificates. 1855 or 1861 onwards should be fine for these details.Alcluith wrote:The birth of any of their children, in Scotland after 1855, should give their date and place of marriage.
All the best,
