Rita
Good news, I have the banter between you Jack and myself, it wasn't lost after all :D
The other day I took a punt and got an OPR death and burial record for My Robert Laurie under Robert Lowrie in 1839 which was the date his death was given in a poor relief record for Mary Irvine :D So looks like I finally got the right one.
Reading Jacks messages your Paynes appear to have a Liverpool/Ireland connection, which is where my Mary Irvine was born (Liverpool) and also William Laurie then of course Ireland crops up. So thanks to this thread I believe I now have my Robert Laurie's (Lowrie) death/burial information. :D
Hope this message isn't too confusing, excitement stepped in :D
Sorry for hijacking this thread with my stuff

Hello All,

A search for “Wade Bishop Ellis” in Google Books brings up “The Michigan Alumnus‎” 1930, - Page 497
“After interning at Rochester General Hospital for two years and the Woman's Hospital, New York City, for one year, WADE BISHOP ELLIS, '26, '28m, ….
His exact death date appears in another book snippet but I can’t find an obit in the NYT.

In the Washington Post 13th January, 1937, at a reception for President Roosevelt, there’s a Mr. and Mrs. Wade B. Ellis, the latter in white chiffon, diamond tiara, etc.

The NY Times, 7th December, 1938, has an obit for a Hannah P. Hutton, wife of John Hutton, mother of R. J. H. Hutton of Buffalo, N. Y., and others. She lived at 151-14 33d Ave., Flushing. (Maybe Hannah is Mother-in-Law of the Hutton on the 1930 notice??)

That’s about all I can pick up at the moment,

All the best,
Alan
