Unfortunately, in order to save time and a lot of explanations, people tend to give the name of the main town (actually, only town) in Lewis - Stornoway (with an o not an a) when asked where they come from, as no-one would know the village or township that they actually come from. And, yes, they might have come from Stornoway, but it is more likely that they are from elsewhere in the island.
