ANCESTRY online access in Ontario

Post by paddyscar » Mon Feb 23, 2009 6:45 pm

I posted this in response on another thread, then thought it was also suitable for posting as an information item here.
Access to Ancestry online will be made available at all Ontario (Canada) libraries in the coming year as part of a special grant from the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture.

Watch for it, at a library near you!
Further details for Ontarians: this is being made available through the $15 Million Dollar grant being administered by OLS-North and SOLS, from whom your librarian may obtain further information.

I wonder if the rest of this country will also see this benefit sometime soon?

Doubtful

Hi Runepriest:

Libraries are supported by provincial purses, but you're welcome to visit us in Ontario and use it while you're here. Unfortunately, it's probably quite a drive!
