Stirling of Glorat Baronetcy

Post by SarahND » Wed Mar 25, 2009 3:49 pm

This from the NEHGS eNews today:

A funeral home director in Indiana is possibly the heir to the Stirling of Glorat Baronetcy

http://www.indystar.com/article/2009031 ... ckcomments

He "only" has to follow down the lines of NINE brothers to be sure there are no male descendants still living... Sounds like a good bit of research!

However, he is listed as the "probable heir" so maybe some of the research is already done!

Regards,
Sarah

Hi Sarah:

Seems like a big "IF", with 9 brothers involved! But history may be on his side.

Would he have to forgo his U.S. citizenship to accept the title?

Frances
John Kelly (b 22 Sep 1897) eldest child of John Kelly & Christina Lipsett Kelly of Glasgow
