1930 US Census Free Online at Internet Archive.
Now that I have your attention I should say that it’s not as good as it sounds, but will be useful to some. From the “Genealogy In Time” newsletter. http://www.genealogyintime.com/Genealog ... gH9e5Ak.Vy
“The Internet Archive has placed the US 1930 census online for free. Most states have been put online with the remaining records to be added in the near future. There is no index however available for this free census. You have to know where your ancestors lived. If you know your ancestor's street name, but not the Enumeration District (ED), you can use Steve Morse’s website to find the ED.”

I’m sure LDS Family Search will have the 1930 US Census free online before too long (possibly without images). It should all be a piece of cake once that happens. Ever seen a 500+MB pdf file before?
Don’t forget that LDS Family Search already has a great deal of Free US Census information, including images for some, in Record Search, located here http://labs.familysearch.org/

Re: 1930 US Census Free Online
More Free US Census – 1860 & 1930.
FOOTNOTE is currently allowing free access to their US census collection. That really means just 1860 and 1930 as their census material for the intervening years is so incomplete as to be hardly worth mentioning. Search via this link and when you’re about to grab the image you’ll be asked to register, but it’s free. http://go.footnote.com/discover/
I’m having trouble with the image viewer using Firefox but it works ok if I click the Coral IE Tab or IE Tab button that can be added to Firefox. (available here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ ) Otherwise use IE for problem sites.
I saw it first here but it seems to have been around for a while and has been much reported elsewhere. As to how long it will last seems to be a secret. http://www.genealogyintime.com/Genealog ... febMnAk.Vy
