Passenger Lists - Advice Needed .....

Post by Ted » Thu Jan 26, 2006 12:21 am

Hi Everyone - happy Burns Night

I recently had limited access to Ancestry (now finished) and was lucky enough to get 4 passenger lists for relatives who went to the US in 1907, 1909, and 2 in 1911. They gave me great info which helped break down a few brick walls. The lists in question all relate to ships going from Liverpool into Philadelphia.

My problem is this - the manifests are spread over two pages and when I checked back on what I have - only the left page from each list seems to have been provided on Ancestry. The right hand pages are the ones I need - with columns 13 - 31 - they give a basic physical description of the passenger and their destination address etc. I have previously obtained similar info from passenger lists of other relatives going into Ellis Island - that info has been invaluable to me in tracing where they went and getting their descendants - including two live cousins who we all did not know existed.

Can anyone advise me how I can get the right hand pages of the 4 lists I need

Thanks lots

Ted

Perhaps you might find the ships you are referring to, on the following site

John Kelly (b 22 Sep 1897) eldest child of John Kelly & Christina Lipsett Kelly of Glasgow

Hello Ted

I can only advise you to contact The National Archives in Kew and see if they can provide you with what you need although you may have to get a researcher to do it. One thing i will say is my family in Scotland got a researcher to look for my gt grandmother going to the U.S from Liverpool and he found her but the manifest copy he supplied didnt include those last few columns either  but the ones i got off Ancestry and sent to me from The Boston Library did :?:
