On the topic of the Rugby International being played at Raeburn Pl in Edinburgh, this is still the home of Scotland's cricket team and Rugby all be it not at the Scotland v England level is still played there too. That's the ground where the game didn't happen the other week between Scotland and Australia due to a rather bad rainstorm.

That's interesting. I didn't know that Scotland had a Cricket team.

Malcolm,

We don't shout about it. We're far too modest

One other head line on this page "Scotch Bankrupts" pertaining to an Insurance Agent and not what happens when you drink to much of the golden nectre, but then again it doesnt state the cause of his bankruptcy
Scotland - Donaldson / Moggach / Shaw / Geddes / Sim / Gray / Mackie / Richards / Joel / Coull / Mckimmie / Panton / McGregor

I have only just caught up with the discussion about whether the people of Scotland are Scots or Scotch. My dad used to tell us that Scotch was a drink that you took with a drop of water and Scots were a people that you took with a pinch of salt. Reading the discussion groups I think that he is right. Your 'gleska patter' and humour can give me a laugh on the greyist of days. Thanks. Lorna B.[img][/img]

Yes it would. I don't think that would go down very well. Better something like "am ae scottish descent" or "am o' scottish descent" :!:
