If you didn’t to it right it’s probably because I didn’t explain every nuance of every move of the mouse.

Go to www.b4usearch.com and click on people at the top of the page. Now enter your man’s name with initials and location in the search field. Don’t enter the road name here just the town or village. OK? One needs to be careful with initials, particularly in Scotland because like mine, the familiar name of many people isn’t always as the same as that they were given at birth.
Click on search and then scroll down the new page until you see details for your man.
Although this is an electoral roll search you will see that it only yields information consistent with a directory enquiries search. I presume this is because John must be registered somewhere else as a voter. Try it again using another name and place and you will find results consistent with my earlier post.
It’s important to note that you are looking for electoral role results which are listed separately from directory enquiries. When you click on “view” against any given name you will see an option to “search neighbours” Once you have located an address and postcode and want to be really nosey, go to www.multimap.com where you have an option to see an aerial view of the area. Welcome to the world of upside down genealogy.
