Melody, I was in Glasgow at the weekend I've got a couple of pictures of the building that used to be the Windsor Hotel. I don't know how to get them to you - email them to you, or post them on here. Can anyone tell me how to post pix on here?

Hi G.Love:
To post pictures on Talkingscot:
Click on the Gallery tab across the top of this page.
The TalkingScot Photo Gallery page will appear. In the headings across the page, click on 'Upload File' and follow the instructions. Once the files have been approved by a member of the Admin Group, Melody will be able to access the pictures. The files will be approved within a few hours, depending when the next Admin member logs in.
If you want to send the photos directly to Melody: scroll up to her post. Click on email which is in the bar across the bottom of her message. That will take you directly into your email account with her personal email address already imbedded in the Address bar. Attach your files (add a message, if you wish) and send as you normally would.

cathcart etc. Explosion at Milford
When I get a chance to get on the computer and visit Talking Scot it never fails to be fabulous!! Thanks again all you wonderful people for your help.
Thanks for the translation of Holmhead and the cottages, and the wonderful picture of the former Windsor Hotel. You folks are the greatest, sorry for the gushing but it's true.
I'm now following the Walkinshaw/Campbell families to Kilmelford in Argyll where it appears they all went for several years to work in the cooperage of the gunpowder factory. Seems in 1867 there was a terrible explosion that put the place our of business for a while. Then they pop up again in Glasgow. So now I'm looking to see if any of the family were hurt or killed. Mom and I are still trying for a trip to Scotland next year and Milford/Kilmelford is on our list to see. It is a very beautiful area from the photos on the internet.
Next time I get an illegible I will try following the instructions to post the image on Talking Scot. Looking forward to the minor records coming online as I have a George Weild that was a ship's captain and I have yet to find a death entry for him. Perhaps he died pre-1855 but the minor records will be worth a try.
Thanks again,
Melody
