I'm assuming that the paintwork, inside and out, woodwork and walls & ceilings where appropriate, were "freshened" at least, some weeks ago; windows outside and inside cleaned; with any failed double glazing units replaced where the seal had failed leading to condensation; garden (if there is one) given a major tidy up, with regular subsequent attention, and the grass cut much more regularly than has ever previously happened; drive and paths deweeded and treated to prevent reappearance of said weeds; and all those major and minor outstanding maintenance tasks completed, - proper pointing on the patio makes an amazingly good impressionLuAnn wrote:....snipped..........

But dusting and hoovering in my study, never mind putting up curtains, and having to stop using the floor as a convenient filing cabinetmarilyn morning wrote:Hi David,
By the sound of it, all your hard work paid off.
Congrats!

Generally I find these kind of filing systems work fine...until you have to move stuff for one reason or another: that completely mucks up your "historical timeline". At that point there are usually some papers (most often the ones you need to refer to RIGHT NOW) which seem to have disappeared and searching the seven or so likely locations where you might have put them can be very time consuming and frustrating ...and usually proves to be futile...and having to stop using the floor as a convenient filing cabinet
Did you, like me, find all sorts of stuff that absolutely NO-ONE could remember ever owning or putting there?DavidWW wrote:3 skips were necessary for the contents of the loft and garage no longer required![]()
