Hi Sarah

I won't be ordering any more books online from WalMart. Though I might buy the next Harry Potter Book from their store. :D The nice thing about buying right from the store, besides not paying any shipping charges, is that you don't have to wait.

Amazon informs me that the shipping date won't be until late May. I just hope that they send me the book then, and not an e-mail telling me that it is delayed.

Regards
Sheila

Hi Sheila,
My experience with Amazon is that they always give you a ship date that is later than what actually happens. Let's hope you get it a few weeks early!
Regards,
Sarah

Hi Sheila,
What do they mean about prerelease? This book has been out since January!
 Maybe someone forgot to tell them it has been released

I'll wait for another couple of weeks and if there's still no delivery, I'll cancel and get it elsewhere

...and as Sarah said, rant all you want...I'm with you there :)

Regards,
Anne

Hi Sheila,

I ordered from Amazon on Christmas Day. They told me it would not be available until 30 March. A further email a few days before the given date, it would now be in May. I answered, other people do not seem to wait that long etc. Their reply, I would not have to pay delivery charges now?
No point in cancelling after all this time, but I understood Amazon is Canadian and I live in Canada! hmmm.

Hi all,
I was getting puzzled by all this, wondering why I had got the book from Amazon and others didn't, so I went to check my previous orders and it wasn't there  Then I remembered that I ordered it when I was in France, but had it sent to my U.S. address :-k Since I also have accounts at Amazon.fr and Amazon.co.uk I realized I must have ordered from one of those, in this case it was from Amazon.co.uk So even though I had the book sent to the U.S., the transaction was from the UK so the book was in stock  Just as well to know that the various branches of that company don't talk to each other!
Regards,
Sarah

Hi All

Maybe I have been too harsh on WalMart Online.

Sarah maybe your ordering from Amazon.uk is the reason that you received the book so fast. I wonder if there is anyway that we can order from Amazon.uk.

Lizzie maybe there mentioning Delivery Charges meant that they would send it from the UK.

Has anyone from North America received this book yet? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Regards

Sheila

I should have my copy from Play.com this week. Sent for it on Thursday night and it was sent the next day with free postage. It says 3-5 days for delivery so fingers crossed.

@DavidWW- Thanks for recommending the book. I've been looking for something like this for a while.

I was in the Mitchell Library (3rd floor) today. I see their funds have allowed them to buy the hardback version of this book.

All the best,

Hi Everybody
I ordered my copy through WHSmith in the High Street and had it within a week without any problem, so don't take any nonsense from the online companys.

Sheila,

I am in Australia and ordered mine from amazon. U.K. and had it before the date they promised it.
They were very prompt, would certainly not hesitate to order from them again.
Their payment site seems to be secure.
