...and sadly, episode 6 is the last in the series. It has been a wonderfully interesting and illuminating series and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It very much helped to illustrate features of the lives of our agricultural ancestors in the late 1800s in a way no book could achieve. I, for one, will miss my weekly "fix" of "real life" history.

I'm sure , for the three who were living on the farm for the year, the return to 21st century existence will be a strange experience, and I can imagine there may be many times when, despite the hard work involved, they will wish they were back on the farm.

For those outside of the UK wanting to see The Victorian Farm. Have you tried Googlevideo?

http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?h ... =N&tab=wv#

You may have to use Google.com Not sure whether it'll work (mine always switches back to Google.co.uk when I try, so I can get it!) But worth a go. It's a great series.

(And about the tongue....My dad still eats that. And hearts. Liver. Pigs feet. Tails. Ick. It's offal  Sorry  )

Hi Ann,
Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it doesn't work :( Just takes me to a page with an article about the series and no video. Will have to wait until it comes again to a wider audience.

Can you still see the videos? If they are there in the archives and watchable again, I could try next time I'm in the UK (probably next November).

Regards,
Sarah

Yep, they're in the Google archive. Don't know if they'll still be there in Nov, but I don't see why not - it's not like they're pushed for space!
