I wasn't convinced that Joseph belonged to my Bernard and Mary. Joseph lists on his marriage certificate his mother's maiden name as Clynch. However found what I think is proof that he belongs in the family and that Clynch and Lynch must be interchangable. The informant for the birth record for Joseph and Jessie's son John, born 12 March 1899 is named as his aunt Mary Flaherty. I have Mary Flaherty in my family tree so now I have that link.
I found a map of Meath. On one of the census one of the children was listed as being born in Castletown. Well this map shows a parish in Meath called Castletown-Kilpatrick and is very close to Navan. So maybe the census taker just thought it was Kilpatrick Scotland.
But now at least I am convinced that Joseph belongs in my tree.

You'll find a death for Patrick in another county at a nice old age outliving his wife....but his first name got indexed as Partick.![]()
Best wishes
Jean
Thank you for the clue that Patrick's name was misspelled. I found it under Partick like you said.
Thanks again
