Pollocks/Pollicks/Livingstons

Post by talkhugh » Tue Jan 08, 2008 11:26 pm

Looking for on-line sites where I can look up Pollocks that lived in Renfrewshire and LAnarkshire (Paisley. Busby, CAthcart 1800 to 1828). Have looked at Scotlands People OPR, ANcestry.com and used Genesreunited.

Striking out it would seem but am reluctant to give up so if someone has any other ideas, I would appreciate receiving them.

Also interested on finding someone who has info on the Livingstons ( Margaret Pollock Livingston who died about 1845). She was married to John Livingston in 1840.

I realize my request is vague but one never knows what is out there.

Hello Hugh,

If you go to Google Books http://www.google.com.au/books?hl=en and search for Pollock and Paisley in combination, then Pollock and the other towns you’ll find quite a collection of books around that time period that may give you further information. Make sure you select “Full view”.

You could try other mixes of names and towns.

Hope you find something useful,
Alan
