Caithness

I have found a number of Elders born in Caithness in the 1700s and 1800s.I know nothing about this area and its people. does anyone out there know anything? I would be very interested in any history of the area. thank you. jane

Have you tried a google for Caithness history? Quite a lot is returned, including a google book:
