There are 2 places [ farms?] by the name of Auchleach in Dumfriesshire

DG9 0QQ and DG9 9LU put these into: http://www.multimap.com to get the exact locations.

Cnocancurn doesn't come up with any hits...

Where did you get the names?

From my hillwalking days I seem to recall "cnoc an" means hill of or peak of, but I can't solve the "curn".

If I remember correct
cnoc is "hill"
an cuirn is "the cairns" (plural)
So it could be translated as hill of the cairns :?
