Ayrshire Ancestors.....

Post by jintyb » Sun Jan 22, 2006 4:51 pm

I came across this site on another forum and I was lucky enough to get a picture of my 4x gt uncle's Headstone. The very generous owner of the site has given his permission to post it on here for Talking Scotters.Hope someone is as lucky as me.

I hope this is the right forum.

Thanks for that, Janet.

I've seen several that could well be mine. Will be checking them more closely tomorrow.

Best wishes

I found two, one that is mine for sure, another, not sure yet, but asked for it anyway. What a lot of work went into that site!

Hi Catriona
My Edgar's are from the borders
Mary Edgar born 1821 married to Andrew Copland at Dryfesdale in 1844
Mary's parents were John Edgar and Mary McCallum
According to IGI a John Edgar married Mary McCallum in Dryfesdale in 1836... :-k

Hi All
It was my pleasure to post this site. It's great that there are such unselfish people willing to share all their hard work, and there is a lot of work in this. Can you imagine how long it's taken him to go round all those graveyards?
Hats off to Kenny.
Regards
Janet
