Seabreeze, Dysart, Fifeshire.....

Post by trish1 » Fri Feb 10, 2006 1:36 pm

I have an address for "Aunt Jane" which probably relates to the period 1930 to 1960 - the address is

Seabreeze
Dysart
Fifeshire, Scotland

Would this be a valid address - is Seabreeze the name of a streeet, house, village?

thanks

Trish

Hi Trish,

'Seabreeze' is the name of a house in Hill St in Dysart, which is now part of Kirkcaldy. Not sure if the house is still there.

Just did a Google search on it and found someone looking for info on the Christie family that stayed there in the 1950s - would they be related to you?

Many thanks Caroline - how interesting. My folks name was Boyd so if related would be, I guess an inlaw relationship. The message is rather dated 1998, so I think it unlikely that the email address would be the same, but I shall try it.

My family could have left there by 1955, I have no indication of how long they lived there - only that my Great Aunt wrote to them "until the died".
