Shop at 113 Blackburn St, Glasgow .....

Post by Caroline » Wed Jul 19, 2006 12:54 pm

Just found out, from poor relief application, that relatives had a shop at 113 Blackburn St, Glasgow in 1907.

Is there any way of finding out what kind of shop it was?

I've tried the online valuation rolls of 1913, but no success there.

Any suggestions?

Hi Caroline
Nothing showing in the 1904 PO directory either, but No. 127 was a dairy owned by Mrs E. Morton.

Caroline,

Have a look at this link.

It's the 1913 valuation rolls. At the top is an entry for 97 - 113 Blackburn street. Maybe your relative had given up his shop by 1913.
