Found this little site while looking for War Memorials. It seems to talk about the area and has school photos as well as a history of the area.

Hi Andy
A great big thank you for posting this link. I was just trawling through not looking at anything in particular, saw your link and thought I'd have a look. On one of the entries about a casualty of WW1 there was a note from the Webmaster saying one of his relations had been killed at the same place. The name William Allan Gray Martin rang a bell as one of my rellies, I contacted him and in 24 hours we've had a great exchange of information.
