Does this home from 1906/7 still exist?
My wife's GGF was building this home when he died in March 1907 according to his obit. Her GF listed his step-mother at this address as his closest relative in 1908 when he came to the US in 1908 and his sister at this address as his closest relative when he returned to the US in 1912.
In looking at the old maps of the area it appears that Randolph Rd is near St Ninians church.
Would appreciate any help SKS can provide.

Hi Bob,
I live in Stirling and as far as I know it still exists. The road is just beside the local hospital (which I visit quite a lot because of my many eye problems!) so next time I'm up I could have a look if you like?
I did a Google search on the address and it appears to be a building firm there now so it might have been converted to offices, but I'll let you know.

Hi Bob,
Ended up at Stirling Infirmary last night as my eye was causing me problems yet again so took a look for no. 37 on the way home and the good news is that it's still there!
It hasn't been converted to offices so I'm assuming the builder that's listed there has it as his home. It's a semi- detached house though so your wifes relative must have built next door as well. Also the houses beside it are identical - would he have done these as well? Looks as though there's also an later extension been added to 37 which is listed as 37A.
Would you like a photo next time I'm passing?

I hope your eye is better.
Yes I would like to get a picture if it is not a bother. I will send a PM with my email address.
Her GGF had retired from the Carron Iron Works in Falkirk and was building a retirement home for his third wife and family when he suddenly took ill and subsequently died at the age of 60 in 1907. His wife and family lived there until she died in 1925. At this point we do not know if his spinster daughter kept the home or not.
Thanks for your efforts in looking at this for us.
