I'm familar with Alderman Road - Knightswood - but not Alderman Street.
Beveridge, Bonnar, Burns,Candlin, Colquhoun, Dewar,Graham,Hislop,Jackson & Robertson.
Martin & Nelson - all Liverpool
Allison, Beaton, MacLean, McLuskie & Todd.
Grant, McEwan, McLean & Syme.

Hi Miss Poohs:)

Quite right, I should have entered Road and not Street. Would you be familiar enough to know if 445 Alderman Road has undergone renovation over the years?

Off the top of my head I couldn't say - I would expect so.

Alderman Road is big - and it's all quite nice houses.

Next time I'm along that neck of the woods I'll check out the numbers.

Hi

This from a quote by a relative of mine as it is an address which turns up in my tree:

"It was a big old house with a minstrels gallery, mosaics on the floor - later it was a Salvation Army Nursing home."

There are a few births in my tree wich took place there.

Best wishes
Lesley

Would that be when it was the Salvation Army Nursing Home? Is it still a SAN home or was it demolished?
