Glasgow:a city under siege

I don't know if this new site has been posted but I thought it might be of interest.

The site was created by The Mitchell Archives and Special Collections team and.............'If the website becomes popular, we hope to emulate its success in other areas, such as shipbuilding, housing and public health.'

I've been told that link doesn't work so try this instead............

Brilliant site Annette.I thought I had recieved agood education in history at school but whilst I am very aware of the Tollpuddle Martrys & the Covenanters I must say I had no idea of this story in Scottish history.
What a heritage for the families.Brave men all.

Fantastic site, Annette. My knowledge of the wars is sadly lacking, but this site and the various links are quickly filling me in. I just finished reading the transcript on the National problems...what an eye opener!

Lots more reading to do here and the photos tell a powerful story...thanks for sharing :)

Regards,
Anne H
