That's a good summary of what's on the certificate, only easier to read! Margaret's surname looks like Christie to me, however. I can't get Chevalier out of it, no matter how I squint...

On the marriage record for John Pitt and Minnie Piercey....do you think her Mother's maiden name is Mills or something different?

And if it is Mills...wonder if she was related to William Andrew Mills who married John's siter in 1906?

Hi,
I don't think the mother's maiden name is given. It just says her name is Mary Piercey. Are you looking at the place name, that is Millbrook?

Just realized I had wrong record

I am looking at Mary's marriage record to Robert Seath.

His Father was a Robert Smith Seath

His Mother was a Henrietta Mills? or something else?

and still wondering if it is Mills and was she related to William Mills who married Jane or Jennie.....William Mills was 52 when they married in 1906. Maybe the Seaths were at this wedding...Mary met Robert and they fell in love ahhhhh

Well, I've been trying in all directions to find another record with his mother's name on it to compare-- with no luck. It looks like Millis to me... but who knows?
