Not sure I am following you family story Justjan could you give a few more details you have found? You mention leaving a child behind. Was this child born in Scotland before the others born in Ireland or are you saying 1 of the children born in Ireland ends up back in Scotland? Have you found this child on Scots census? Is he with family members eg Grandparents or an Auntie perhaps? Let us know what you have found please.

Heather
i have never seen him on any census , just the Eliz i got who married in glasgow , the man she married tied in with my details
, but my Granda was put in the Poorhouse his Mother is supposed to have died , i dont think so as i have search a lot of woman the same name and got no where , but again i am wondering what was her name ,?
his death cert says he was Stewart , formally Cameron , and shes down as his Mother with Cameron afterwards Stewart , but thats not whats on his marriage cert , and as far as we knew he was a small boy not a baby ,
which rules out the James Cameron 9 months in the poorhouse census ,
i dont know a DOB , so i cant really find anything , the marriage suggests he was born 1870 , his death cert says he was 91 making it 1867 .
i cant send you them to look at , confusing isnt it

An Extra Birth
David Lowden Stewart - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 04 JUL 1880 Belfast, Antrim, Ireland
Seems to confirm that this is the correct family in Ireland. Specifically, Belfast in 1880. This Statutory Birth should have the Address and extant Trade and Street Directories may have further information.
Elizabeth may have been born in Scotland to Archbald and Jane Christie:
1. JANE CAMERON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 23 MAY 1841 Gorbals, Lanark, Scotland
2. ELIZABETH JOHNSTONE CAMERON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 11 AUG 1844 Gorbals, Lanark, Scotland
Exactly the right date to be 25 at her marriage in 1869.

Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).
Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.
